Spreading Cheer and Connection This Holiday Season

As the year comes to a close, I find myself reflecting on the joy, connections, and unforgettable moments shared throughout 2024. This holiday season, I’m reminded of what makes our community so special: you—our participants, families, staff, and supporters who come together to make every activity an experience full of growth, belonging, and joy.

This year has been brimming with highlights! From thrilling outings at the area parks and museums to music classes and therapy that sparked creativity and confidence, every program reminded us of the power of recreation to build community and create lasting memories. Whether we were singing at karaoke parties, enjoying the sunshine during our summer camps, or learning new skills, we saw growth not just in abilities but in connections that truly matter.

The holiday season is a time for celebration, and we’ve made it extra special with a festive calendar of events. This month alone, participants will enjoy learning about holidays around the world, holiday concerts, and Christmas light displays that bring our community closer together. These activities aren’t just about having fun—they’re about fostering skills like teamwork, communication, and confidence in a safe, inclusive environment. For our participants, these moments of connection are a gift that lasts all year long. It’s about building bridges to a life of social well-being—one experience at a time.

Of course, none of this would be possible without our incredible team and supporters. To our dedicated staff, your patience, creativity, and flexibility turn every program into an unforgettable experience. To our volunteers and donors, your generosity fuels our mission, helping us ensure that every person who walks through our doors feels supported, valued, and celebrated.
