Volunteer with LifeBridge

Volunteers help to ensure a fun and safe experience for every child and adult that participates in a LifeBridge program. You can help participants enjoy a variety of activities and events from bowling and basketball to picnics and art projects.

Out and About Volunteers

If you will be 18 or older at the time of service, please complete the background check form and upload it in your volunteer application.

Once you have completed your application, you will be contacted within 3-5 days by a member of the LifeBridge staff. If you have questions or would like more information before making a commitment, contact Patrick Martchink, Chief Development Officer. Groups or organizations who are looking for an opportunity or a day of service, please reach out. We love to partner with a groups!

Why do we require you to complete an application and background check?

We care about the safety and well-being of every participant. We also want to make your experience as a volunteer is rewarding and enriching as possible. Volunteers must be at least high school age (freshman or above). Anyone who wants to volunteer must complete the Volunteer Application. If you are 18 or older, you will also need to complete a background check authorization.

If you are under the age of 18, you will need parent’s permission.

If you are under 16 you will need to be accompanied by an 18 year old or older individual.

 Volunteer Opportunities

  • Out and About
The LifeBridge Out and About Program is offered to our adult clients to prepare and equip them with skills necessary to maximize their potential for community engagement and independence. Monthly volunteer opportunities occur through recreation and leisure activities which usually last 2-4 hours. Individuals are not required to meet a minimum amount of hours of service per month and may volunteer for any of our planned activities when their personal schedule allows.

  • Leaders Club
Leaders Club is an after-school enrichment program held during the school year. We prefer that volunteers commit to a semester of volunteering, but may still accept new volunteers if a semester commitment is not possible.

  • LifeBridge Camps
LifeBridge Camps are offered at various times throughout the year and provide a day camp setting for youth. Camp hours are typically 9 am - 3 pm. Volunteers would be required to arrive by 8:30 am to receive their team or camp buddy assignments. We prefer that volunteers commit to each day of that particular camp. This will make for a better experience for both campers and volunteers, as they are able to build a rapport throughout the camp. We will however accept volunteers who are only available for at least one day of camp.
