Thank You
As a kid, I dreaded writing thank you notes. It took SOOOO long. It took away from time spent playing with all the wonderful new stuff! It seemed like a pointless exercise; I already said “thank you” in the moment. But, mom insisted. I would finally stop procrastinating and write the notes.
I’m so thankful she instilled this wonderful habit in me. Saying thank you is not just about being polite. It boosts the joy the giver finds in giving. Knowing that a gift was appreciated and was put to good use deepens your connection with the giver and encourages future generosity.
Nonprofits have many opportunities to express gratitude: donations, attendance at fundraising events, volunteers stepping into our mission field. Through letters, emails, social media posts and conversation, we have the privilege of spreading joy by thanking those people and organizations that help us achieve our mission.
This month I have a big thank you! I would like to give special recognition to the United Way of Greater St. Louis. LifeBridge Partnership has had the honor of partnering with the United Way since 1999. We are incredibly grateful to continue our partnership with United Way, furthering our mission in 2023 with an allocation of $115,530! This stable and flexible monthly funding allows us to reach more people.
Thank you to United Way for this strong partnership and to our entire community for supporting their annual campaign – we are so grateful!
Furthermore, through the collective effort of generous donors, like United Way of Greater St. Louis, we achieved our 2022 annual fundraising goal! Learn more about how you can make a positive difference in the lives of children and adults with disabilities @ https://www.lifebridgestl.org
With many thanks,
Karen Schuster, CEO
