Celebrating Volunteers
April is National Volunteer Month, a time to appreciate and celebrate the amazing volunteers who make a difference in our community. At LifeBridge Partnership, we are grateful for the caring and dedicated individuals who give their time to support our programs for youth and adults with disabilities. Their presence and dedication to our programming creates a welcoming, fun, and meaningful experience for everyone involved.
You can celebrate National Volunteer Month by thanking someone who volunteers, sharing your own volunteer story on social media, or signing up to lend a hand today!
Why Volunteers Matter
Volunteers can play a critical role in any nonprofit organization. They certainly do at LifeBridge Partnership. Volunteers help with our camps and group outings in a variety of ways, such as playing games with a group, assisting a camper with a craft project, or simply having a conversation with an Out & About participant. Volunteers make a real impact. Their efforts help participants gain confidence, experience community life, and feel like they truly belong.
How You Can Get Involved
Volunteering isn’t just about giving—it’s also about learning new skills, meeting great people, and being part of something special. Interested in making a difference? Whether you want to volunteer once or on a regular basis, we’d love to have you!
During the month of April we have a variety of volunteer opportunities, including a day camp on April 12 and many community-based events with the Out & About program. Do you enjoy crafting? Want to tour a museum or the Missouri Botanical Gardens? Maybe music, movies or games are your jam? What about shopping? As a LifeBridge Partnership volunteer you can share your interests with the adults who participate in Out & About, because we do all of these things and more!
